Purl

I love this bar. It’s my absolute favourite place to sink cocktails. A speakeasy in Marylebone with great cocktails, friendly staff, chilled atmosphere & no attitude.  First time I went to Purl, the special of the day ‘bubble gum martini’ had been written in lipstick on the bathroom mirror, so we tried a few.. http://www.purl-london.com/

Drink Shop Do.. Kings Cross

A friend took for me for cake at this great new place in Kings Cross called DRINK SHOP DO. It's a design shop, cafe / bar (who could ask for anything more!). Run by two school friends who always dreamt of setting up their own space, it been open just five weeks. Set in an old Victorian Bath house with high ceilings and a great big sky light. Try the Alice in Wonderland tea & check their listings for crafty events coming up.. dot to dot disco anyone? I'm plotting my next visit to try the cocktails. http://www.drinkshopdo.com/

Gelupo... Ge-lovely

mmmmmmmmm I love this place. http://www.gelupo.com/index.php Recent tastes were fresh mint stracciatella & coconut sorbet... it's all so fresh because the turn over is so high. I could sit in there for days tasting all the favours.

Sushi in Kyoto, Soho

Nice spot for Sushi in Soho. I discovered last night.. Kyoto, 26 Romilly Street, Soho, London, W1D 5AL
http://www.london-eating.co.uk/7175.htm. Apprently it is Korean-run. The food is good value, fresh and the place has it's own sweet style & atmosphere. We liked the background jazz.

Still doesn't beat Pham Sushi though http://www.phamsushi.co.uk/ that remains my favourite.

Bee-ing in Regents Park

Last Saturday I tried the one day bee keeping course right in the centre of Regents Park
http://www.zootrain.com/default.aspx. It’s run by Toby Mason & local beekeeper master John Hauxwell. Toby also makes & sells his own Regent’s Park honey around London http://www.purefood.co.uk/  & it's very good. The course is relaxed, expertly informed & the passion they have for the bee's is infectious. Best part was wearing the bee suits & visiting Toby’s apiary’s in the park..
